Tablet APPlication Resource List
** This tablet APP list is a work in progress **
I offer you a list of some useful tablet apps (most are iOS
but hoping to get more Android - or get software engineers to convert them!) I
have used in therapy or as a dedicated communication device with preschool and
school aged children in order to create communication opportunities:
Note: Using a tech device as a dedicated communication
device should only be used as a communication device and nothing else. I advise
acquiring two tablets (or other devices). One for games and therapy, etc. &
one for use only as the dedicated AAC device (if so needed). Contact a speech
language pathologist through ASHA.org (or your country's licensed &
certified language, speech and hearing specialists) before making these
decisions.
